针对WIFI产品，日本根据其电波法的要求有其对应的强制性认证如MIC认证（也有叫TELEC认证），这有些类似于中国针对无线产品的型号核准（SRRC）。无线产品进入日本市场需要进行Japan Radio Law的型号核准（主要针对RF部分）。具体的测试规范则是遵循MIC（日本总务省）Notice No.88法规。测试规范的更新维护也是由MIC（日本主管信息通信产业的总务省）来进行。
